Bare Trust

In a Bare Trust, the trustee holds the property on trust for a single, absolutely entitled beneficiary.

The beneficiary owns:

  • the entire equitable interest in the trust fund; and
  • has absolute entitlement to the investments of the trust or to any interest arising from them.

Someone who sets up a bare trust can be certain that the trust assets will go directly to the beneficiaries.
